Do and Don’ts before you buy a new car
1. Decide Model/Study it Vs Competitors from Compare
car,Octane,Car Dekho etc Sites.
2. Visit Showrooms for offer and Price Lists.
3. Never buy car in Q1 Jan-Feb-Mar (old Stock Given with Discount)
and Q2 Oct-Nov-Dec (IDV Loss old Yr.)
4.Best Month to buy-April to Sep (New Mfg of January to
September)
5.Never give strong belief to sales person that you want
& want that only…They wont cut down price.
6.Before buying find accessory and there price form car dealer
or outside.
7.Sales Tactics to
make customer fear- warranty will be lost if electrical part installed form out
they cut wire.It is not like that all fitments come with socket to socket only.
8.Take in written about the delivery time of Car Model you selected.
9.Never hurry to buy.Be calm.
10.There are always hidden costs that you wont know until
final paper are made.
Loan Vehicle
Eg.if you take loan when you go there they will say you will
only the following charges will be there:
A. Processing Charge
B. Documentation Charge C. Stamp
Duty 0.25%
E.Another Charges-
Irrevocable power of attorney approx 1000
to 500/- Stamp
Instrumentation of Hypothecation 1000/-
Stamp Duty + 250/-
Notary Charges (That you have to do)
Guarantor Form 2000/- Stamp.(if any)
11.Even if dealer take Money for RTO agent to process, still
they will give you some paper for seal
sign which is to be done from bank you take loan and submit to again to them so
Reg.Number will be given.
12. Ensure that you have enough parking space for vehicle.
13. Never Provide Mobile number to sales Person,it will
become a headache.
14.Car dealer will say to book car with nominal amount and
then they will say to sum up to (XYZ) amount for allocation eg.if you gave
10,000/- for booking they will say sum upto 25,000/- for allocation.
15. Don’t pay full amount to dealer, they will cheat you for
long term they will ask for more money as increased in price of car.
16. Bank person won’t cooperate you after you take loan.
17. Dealers will not co-operate after sales.
18. Give 2nd thought why dealer would give you
extra discount on car which other are
not.
19. Accessory department would show you the higher side of
cost to cut it down if any discount given to you. so kindly check at other
dealer what is the exact piece of kit.
20. Other charges which will be not shown to you until you
decide on table for final price.

huge amount.
21.Check the Vesion of car for BSIV or BS VI
22.Confirm about the after sales service charges and labour
